About Grow Greens Daily

Grow Greens Daily is a practical gardening publication. Houseplants, outdoor gardens, vegetables, fruit trees, herbs, composting, and the slow craft of getting better at growing things. We write for readers who want straight answers — what works, what fails, and what the label on the back of the bag actually means — before they spend money or dig the wrong hole.

What we do differently

Two thirds of online gardening content reads like it was written by someone who has never planted a tomato. The other third assumes you already know how to read a soil test. We aim for the middle: detailed enough to be useful, plain enough to follow on a phone with dirt on your hands.

Our priorities, in order

  1. Tested over theoretical. If we recommend a method, someone at this site has used it on a real plant in a real season.
  2. Cooperative Extension over Pinterest. University extension services and peer-reviewed horticulture research outrank social media trends, always.
  3. Climate honesty. A guide that works in USDA zone 9 will not work in zone 4. We say where our advice applies.
  4. Updates. Plants change. Best practices change. Articles are dated and revised when the underlying advice shifts.

What we cover

Editorial independence

We accept advertising and use affiliate links in product roundups. Both are disclosed. Neither shapes what we write. Articles go through editorial review before publication and get updated when evidence or products change in ways that matter.
