This page explains how Grow Greens Daily produces its articles — who writes them, how they are reviewed, how we handle sources, and how we update content over time. We publish this because readers should know what stands behind any gardening claim.
Our editorial principles
- Tested over theoretical. Where possible, we describe what we did and what happened — not just what should work.
- Independence. Advertisers and affiliate partners do not influence editorial decisions. Sponsored content, if we ever accept it, will be labeled.
- Climate honesty. Gardening advice is regional. We name the hardiness zones, rainfall, and conditions our methods assume.
- Updates. Articles are dated and updated when seasons, best practices, or product availability change.
- Corrections. We correct errors openly with a visible note.
How we source articles
For each article we consult, in order of priority:
- University Cooperative Extension publications and fact sheets
- Peer-reviewed horticulture and agronomy research
- Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) and equivalent national bodies
- USDA, EPA, or equivalent regulatory documentation for pesticide and disease guidance
- Direct interviews with master gardeners, extension agents, and growers
- Hands-on trials at our own test plots
Reviewer process
Articles covering propagation, soil amendments, pest management, or anything safety-adjacent are reviewed before publication by a contributor with relevant horticulture background. Reviewed articles include a “Reviewed by” line.
Affiliate disclosures
When we recommend products, we may include affiliate links. If you buy through one of these links, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships are disclosed within each post. We never recommend a product solely because of an affiliate relationship.
Sponsored content
We do not currently accept sponsored articles. If we ever do, sponsored pieces will be clearly labeled and held to the same factual standards as editorial content.
Updates and corrections
Each article shows a publish date and an updated date when material changes are made. Substantive corrections are noted at the bottom of an article. Cosmetic or minor edits (typos, broken links) are made silently.
How to contact us
To report an error or suggest a correction, email editor@growgreensdaily.com. We aim to respond within 5 business days.
